Venice Butterfly Leaves

Introducing ‘Venice Butterfly Leaves’, a masterpiece of contemporary couture. Crafted in silk georgette, a fabric chosen for its fluidity and lightness, this gown exemplifies modern refinement with a whisper of romanticism.

A slipper satin base forms the canvas for lightly draped georgette over a modern square neckline. A signature Phillipa Lepley corset lies within to ensure flawless fit and support, sculpting the silhouette with discreet craftsmanship.

Yet, it is in the sleeves that ‘Venice Butterfly Leaves’ reveals its most intricate artistry. Constructed in fine tulle, the ‘puffed’ sleeves serve as the framework for an exquisite embroidery display. Meandering strands of acanthus leaves are meticulously hand-embroidered using a combination of organza appliqué and threadwork edging. Each leaf appears to flutter away from the surface in a three-dimensional effect imbuing the gown with a sense of organic growth – like nature captured in a state of bloom.

A light, circular, skirt enhances the gown’s weightlessness while a long, georgette sash, tied delicately by hand, completes the bridal look. The dress is hand-finished with bridal buttons and loops, tracing the centre line on the back.

Every element of Venice Butterfly Leaves speaks to an aesthetic of quiet elegance, where the complexity of technique is masked by an air of effortless beauty.

Styled with diamonds by David Morris Jewellers, shoes by Emmy London, and a gypsophila bouquet by All For Love London at the ‘Grace’ collection campaign shoot.
