After a series of big changes, a 15-person wedding may seem small, but ceremonies are allowed to commence and they can be as beautifully orchestrated as a large-scale celebration, carrying just as much meaning.

At Phillipa Lepley we focus on the individual bride and the bespoke wedding dress that will be perfect for her, rather than dwelling on the constraints and implications of any restrictions. The Phillipa Lepley design and creation process is focused entirely on the bride and her vision, ensuring that she will feel her most beautiful on her wedding day.

We work closely with our brides in what is fundamentally a support role too, to enable them to put the rest of their wedding day logistics to one side momentarily whilst they are with us. A bride can become enveloped in the relaxing environment and exciting creative process that the experienced Phillipa Lepley team offers. We ensure that when it comes to ‘the dress’ they thoroughly adore the whole process, from start to finish.

Phillipa says, “One asset that need not change or be hindered in any way is the bride’s choice of dress. She can still have her dream dress, designed and made especially for her, in a seamless and gratifying way.”

With an increased focus on the ceremony itself, brides may experiment with longer dress trains, cathedral length veils, over-sized skirts and dresses covered in stunning bespoke embroideries, many of which provide more ‘cover’.

Alternatively, brides may opt for a ‘clean’ dress in contrast, if the chic purity of a sharp silhouette appeals. A duchess satin wedding dress with an off-the-shoulder wide collar and a slim inverted tulip shape skirt, or a silk crepe dress cut with dramatic flare at the hem and an extra-long train – both are undeniably dramatic in their simplicity.

Our expert shop and atelier teams take into consideration that at any point a bride’s venue, wedding format or timeline may be required to change. We strive to provide reassurance that whatever happens they will walk away with the most flattering and unique, bespoke design: At Phillipa Lepley anything is possible.

Phillipa says, “Whether a large or small celebration, it is my hope and expectation that you will still be completely bowled over by the incredible significance and excitement of the day, echoed by the significance of having a bespoke dress made with care, thought and craft which seems so poignant at this extraordinary time, with thoughts moving towards the importance of lasting love and family.

Spending this vauable time creating a bespoke dress to suit the occasion, making memorable personal design decisions that cement this momentous occasion, in turn highlighting the true reason for getting married. Creating something so special, lasting and perfect for the occasion, marrying the one you love, and starting the next chapter of your lives.”
