Phillipa spent many joyous and heart-felt hours designing this dress from her home in the English countryside. An ode to her favourite flower, the Wood Anemone, it features delicate buds from the charming flowering plant from the buttercup family in a pastel shade of lilac. One of the first flowers of spring, wood anemones bloom like a galaxy of stars across the forest floor, symbolising expectation.

The Wood Anemones are as integral to the design as the swiss dot fabric which they have been wildly, individually placed and hand-embroidered on to. The spot fabric is lighter than air and has been shaped in to playful puff sleeves which sit in line with the top of the corset at the bust. The shoulder bones and collar are exposed. The full skirt transcends to the floor and contrasts beautifully with the nipped in waist above.

Phillipa says, “Degas Dotty Anenome” was inspired by one of my favourite flowers. It is doubtlessly so romantic, and so flattering. I love the way it speaks volume without overpowering, simply accentuating every curve in the perfect way.”

“I have always adored this special, totally luxurious hand-embroidered dot fabric. Marrying it with the lilac buds simply made my heart sing! It is a picture of elegance and true craftsmanship, which I will be enormously proud to see on a beautiful bride.”
