Laura’s Floral Wedding Dress
Laura’s couture Lily of the Valley dress was the perfect choice for her garden wedding day filled with flowers!
With a tulle overlay covered in 3D Lily of the Valley petal motifs, the sweetheart neckline bodice was created with our signature Phillipa Lepley corset within to give extra shape and definition to the silhouette, before flowing out to a full but soft, undulating A-line slipper satin skirt. The tulle overlay was cut with extra fullness to ensure that the dress had a lightness and movement to it that was romantic and feminine – the petals fluttered as Laura moved.
Attention to detail is key with every Phillipa Lepley wedding dress. For this piece, the embroidery was designed so that each branch of petals was placed perfectly, spreading and growing organically around the body. Laura was able to approve everything stage by stage as her dress developed through her fittings.
The sheer straps of Laura’s dress were made in tulle with petals scattered throughout. The strap width was determined with Laura in her fittings to compliment the sweetheart neckline of the dress, coming to a low V at the back.
Laura also chose a cathedral length veil, made with two tiers of silk tulle peppered with delicate clusters of Lily of the Valley petals carefully placed to compliment the motifs beneath on her dress.
