Laura’s Wedding Day
Laura’s love of sparkle led her to chose a couture strapless dress with an embellished tulle overlay and bespoke tulle shrug.
The base dress had a full A-line skirt of rich, structured Italian duchess satin and a strapless bodice with a sweetheart neckline. Our signature Phillipa Lepley corset was built within, highlighting and complimenting Laura’s waist beautifully.
The tulle overlay of the dress was adorned with an asymmetric placement of stylised floral motifs of 3D silk organza crescents along with ivory and silver bugle beads, seed beads and sequins.
The silk organza petals had a pinky hue which Laura carried through to the soft blush pinks and greys she chose for the colours on her perfectly planned day.
Laura’s two tier silk tulle veil, had one very special added feature – Laura and her fiancé’s initials monogrammed onto the back edge of the veil. This was another detail that Laura carried through to the styling of her day. Such special and personal attention to detail is made possible thanks to our incredible team, working with such dedication and care on every piece at our Chelsea studio.
The bespoke tulle shrug we designed for Laura gave her coverage for during the day, without being too heavy and dominating the overall look. The same embellishment techniques and shapes were considerately placed to compliment the main bodice of the dress. Later in the day, Laura was able to remove the shrug for a different look, the embellishment of her dress shimmering and glistening into the evening!
