Margaux’s Wedding In France

Margaux chose to have a couture Phillipa Lepley wedding dress of slipper satin and satin chiffon silks with a corseted bodice covered with French lace and a bespoke V back neckline.

Two different kinds of French lace were used to create the bodice of Margaux’s dress. A delicate Chantilly lace was used as the base, with a heavier corded lace appliquéd to the waist, cap sleeve and neckline to add definition to the edges.

The corded lace at the round high front neckline was built up motif by motif, the positioning echoing that of a necklace, coming round to a deep V at the back neckline, softened with scalloped lace edging.

Margaux chose to have no petticoats in the skirt of her dress – keeping everything light, free and fun. Her bespoke dress brought together all the right elements to ensure she felt perfectly herself on her wedding day.

At Phillipa Lepley anything is possible. The shop consultants and atelier team work closely to create the perfect dress, designed for the individual.

Phillipa Lepley is recognised globally as a leading British wedding dress and eveningwear designer, renowned for bespoke couture dresses of the utmost luxury. Her wedding dress shop in London, Chelsea, has over 50 dresses, all of which have been made in England from start to finish at her atelier.
